#1 quit VMWare Fusion
#2 launch Activity Monitor
#3 find the vmware-vmx process and choose to quit it
#4 launch VMWare Fusion
#5 open VM!

Transport (VMDB) error -44: Message.
vmware authorization service is not running.

Run the vmware.exe as rus as administrator. You will be able to start the virtual machine.
